Bloggery stuff

Photo: 1901 photograph of the Biloxi lighthouse.

The day is winding down, so I wanted to mention a few things:

  • Are you looking for an older post that is no longer on the main page? You can always scroll down and look in the sidebar for Archives. Or, for your convinience, you can read all of September's posts by clicking right here.

  • I was strip mining some former blogs of mine and found some G.K. Chesterton quotes I really thought apropos. One has become the blog credo:
Fallacies do not cease to be fallacies because they become fashions.

and the other has become the footer quote at the bottom of the page:
When men have come to the edge of a precipice, it is the lover of life who has the spirit to leap backwards, and only the pessimist who continues to believe in progress.

  • Do you want to help Biloxi and Gulfport? Remember those links at the top of the sidebar. It's getting to the point where enough opportunities are opening that more volunteers are needed. The first wave is having to pack up and return to their own lives. Consider spending some vacation time helping out.

Jon - I work with your brother Jeff. He sent me your blog link. It's good to see a different perspective on this disaster than what we get 24x7 from the mainstream media. Nice work.
